Utah Desert Tortoise Adoption Program

The desert tortoise (Gopherus agassizii) was listed as Federally Threatened under the Endangered Species Act in 1990. Desert tortoises displaced from the wild for any reason are in need of good homes! (They cannot be reintroduced to the wild. See our Tortoise FAQ page.) Support these amazing and long-lived animals by learning more about them and their habitat. Help out by adopting and providing a home and family for one of these gentle tortoises!
